Holiday property - Het zomernest

The village of Ouddorp is one of the nuclei of the municipality of Goeree Overflakkee, located on the island of the same name Goeree-Overflakkee. Detailed information can be found on the website of the municipality. (https://www.goeree-overflakkee.nl).

The detached cottage with surrounding garden with terraces (on hot days there is always somewhere a shady spot to find) stands on the quiet park "Het Oude Nieuwland". On this park are different types of vacation homes, the park is about 10 minutes walk from the dunes and the vast North Sea beach. The cottage is located on the edge of the park against a scrub, giving you a lot of privacy. On the website of the park (hetoudenieuwland.nl) you can find further information.
The use (at your own risk) of two bicycles is included in the price, the bikes are in the shed.
You can park at the cottage for loading and unloading, then you must put your car in a designated parking lot. (about 100 meters from the cottage). Parking costs are 1.50 euros per day, payable to the park manager.
The rental price includes energy and cleaning costs, but we do ask you to leave the cottage neat and clean on your departure.

Dogs are not allowed in the park "Het Oude Nieuwland"; smoking is not allowed in the cottage.

For children there are several playing facilities in the park. At the reception there is a canteen, you can play petanque and table tennis. At the entrance to the park there is a snack bar. Wifi is available at the park "Het Oude Nieuwland" for a fee.

In Ouddorp and environment you can enjoy cycling on the many bike paths (including through the dunes) and country roads. While cycling you will pass many beautiful views. The characteristic landscape is very varied. There are also several hiking trails in Ouddorp and its surroundings. Other activities you can do in Ouddorp and its surroundings are windsurfing and kite surfing.
In the village are numerous stores and catering establishments, there are also several historic buildings to see. (including the village church, the town hall, the lighthouse "Westhoofd", mills and the farm "Het Blaeuwe Huus" from 1659 where the tourist office is located.
An indoor swimming pool is available in Stellendam about 10 km from Ouddorp. The fortified town of Hellevoetsluis with its shopping center (free parking), marinas, various museums (including City Museum, National Fire Brigade Museum, Dry Dock Jan Blanken, Ramtorenschip Buffel, Lightship North Hinder, Minesweeper Bernisse) and other attractions is located on the island of Voorne, about 20 km from Ouddorp, where you can also visit the fortified town of Den Briel with its Catharin Church and much more.
